Darrell Sheets, Storage Wars Star, Dies at 67
Reality TV veteran Darrell Sheets has died at the age of 67, authorities have confirmed. The Lake Havasu City, Arizona, resident was found at his home in the early hours of April 22.
Police were dispatched to a Chandler Drive residence around 2:00 a.m. after receiving a report of a deceased person. Officers located a male believed to have suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The body has been transported to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office as the investigation continues. The family's been notified, and officials say additional information will be released as it becomes available.
Sheets rose to prominence as a fan favorite on Storage Wars, appearing in 163 episodes of the long-running A&E series. Known for his larger-than-life persona, he became one of the show’s most recognizable cast members before eventually stepping away from television.
Following his time on the show, Sheets moved to Lake Havasu City and operated an antique shop called Havasu Show Me Your Junk. He had previously faced health challenges, including a heart attack in March 2019 that required hospitalization and subsequent surgery.
In addition to Storage Wars, Sheets also made guest appearances on programs hosted by Jay Leno and Rachael Ray. Authorities are asking anyone with information related to the case to contact the Lake Havasu City Police Department.
